Church women
The women's group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall of the Church. They take great pride in supporting many local charities and providing food baskets for needy families for Thanksgiving.  They also provide luncheons
to The Wounded Warrior Battalion at Camp Lejeune, collect school supplies, hygiene items and money for children in need.

At Christmas, food, clothing and toys are provided to local families as needed. Assistance is given to persons in need of medicine, utility bills, etc.. The group is self supporting by holding several fund raising events.

Members of ECW and other parishioners are going to participate along with the ECW Group from Holy Trinity, Hampstead in offering a picnic and conversation to members of the Wounded Warriers at Camp LeJeune, in Jacksonville, NC.
We hope to make this a frequent co-operative event with many of our congregation and those from Holy Trinity, in Hampstead.
One way to say Thank You to our troops.

On Thursday June 12, seven St. Mary’s members (joined by a friend of Van Reid’s who is a retired marine and a Vietnam veteran) participated in the Wounded Warriors  luncheon at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville. The cookout was held on the lawn outside the Wounded Warrior barracks. It was coordinated by the ECW group from Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampstead. Father Dan led the blessing, and about fifty soldiers enjoyed the picnic. All who attended had a good time and look forward to participating again. Our thanks to Catherine Wynne for arranging our cooperation in this event.
